Umdoni Christian Academy (UCA) has been offering the Umdoni community a personalised system of instruction with an individualised, mastery-based, biblical approach to education from preschool to grade 12 for over 14 years. As of 12th September, UCA has been approved by Cambridge Assessment International Education to offer its world-leading Cambridge programme.
The Cambridge programme gives students a clear path for educational success and the demands of the working world. UCA combines a world-class curriculum, high-quality support for teachers and integrated assessment with an exit qualification recognised around the world.
UCA will be offering the community the Cambridge Upper Secondary programme which leads to Cambridge IGCSE (the world’s most popular international qualification for 14 to 16-year-olds) as well as the Cambridge Advanced programme, which prepares students for university and higher education, and leads to Cambridge International AS & A Level qualifications.
Every year, nearly a million students from 10 000 schools in 160 countries prepare for their future with Cambridge programmes and qualifications. Success with Cambridge often gives students admission to the world’s best universities – in the US, the UK, Australia, Canada, Germany and beyond.
Michael O’Sullivan, Chief Executive of Cambridge Assessment International Education, said: “We are delighted to announce that Umdoni Christian Academy has joined our global community of Cambridge schools and we look forward to a long and productive relationship with them.”
Jenny Page, principal of UCA said: “We are delighted to offer the Umdoni Community an internationally accredited qualification that not only meets the educational requirements for local tertiary institutes but also international institutes. Together with our tried and tested educational methodology where value based, individualized, mastery based education which is paramount to our school is offered, we now have a fully recognised qualification for all our students”.
