In conjunction with Tommy’s World Fair and Georgia Spur Shelly Centre, the shopping centre hosted a total of 100 children over four days last week.

Each group’s exciting day started with some face-painting and two hours of rides and ended with a delicious burger and cool drinks.

Shelly Centre’s marketing manager Kirstin Rowbotham and the Georgia Spur’s wolf were delighted to welcome children from Rehoboth Children’s Village and Inathi Child and Youth Care Centre to Tommy’s World Fair.

Älfons van der Galien, managing director of Rehoboth Children’s Village, said, “On behalf of the children, we would like to thank Shelly Centre for organising this special outing for our 50 orphaned children with free entry to the fair – and on top of this, providing them with meals and popcorn. Wow, so special. The children enjoyed it to the fullest.”

Wellington Bobore, director of Inathi Child and Youth Care Centre said “We are very grateful that our children were able to experience the funfair. They were so excited from the day they were told and everyone had the most wonderful time!”
