Port Shepstone Senior Primary pupils donate generously

Port Shepstone Senior Primary pupils (from left) Naveshan Arumogam, Kerusha Govender and Simthandile Mashinini present donated books to librarian Marilyn Moorvan.

PSSP received a welcome donation of books from pupils Kerusha Govender (gr 6N), Naveshan Arumogam (gr 4A) and Simthandile Mashinini (gr 4R). Pupils bought the books at the recent Diskonto book sale held at the school. Their parents are also thanked for their support.

Ten athletes took part in the inter-school cross-country event hosted by Port Edward Primary at Beaver Creek Coffee Farm last Tuesday. Congratulations to Wanga Diko and Bulumko Mkosana who came first in the boys’ U10 and U11 events respectively. Well done to Tapiwa Mazubane for placing second in the girls’ U12 race, Fardel Faro (second in the boys’ U13 event) and Amahle Madlala, who placed third in the girls’ U13 race.

Good luck to Sonal Dwarikerpersah in the upcoming Provincial Spelling Bee which takes place today (13th) in Durban. Good wishes also go to Othembela Gagai (gr 7), who will represent the school at the Umbango River Conservancy Spelling Contest.
