Four arrested for attack on Port Edward pensioners

Four men have been arrested in connection with the attack on a pensioner (76) and his wife (70) in their Port Edward home last week.

The man was stabbed twice in the upper thigh and the woman was assaulted.

The house was ransacked before the men fled with cash and household items.

Police spokesman, Captain Gerald Mfeka confirmed that three men, aged 20, 22 and 26 years respectively, were arrested last Friday.

They appeared in the Ramsgate Magistrate’s Court on Monday this week.

A fourth man was arrested on Monday.

The men are in custody awaiting their next court appearance.

Investigations are continuing.
