OPINION: “Locks and chains are a sign of the times”

Pumula community members have taken water matters into their own hands and installed a water tank on Park Road, secured by a thick chain and strong lock.

DEAR Editor,-

Since the recent water woes on the South Coast, the Pumula community has, at their own expense, installed a substantial water tank on Park Road.

It is definitely a ‘sign of the times’ when water tanks have to be secured with thick chains and locks, but even that is not really a deterrent these days.
