Merlewood Primary cricketers meet their heroes

Merlewood Primary coach Ekhta Nankoomar (front, left) and mini-cricket players (from left) Banele Ndadana, Matayo Bishop, Thandolwethu Mpofana, Ncebazakhe Jaca, Phiwokuhle Dlamini, Denzel Matomela, Sbusiso Madalane, Keyolan Draai were thrilled to meet Hollywoodbets Dolphins players (back, from left) Blayde Capell, Prenelan Subrayen, Daryn Dupavillon, Keshav Maharaj and Khaya Zondo at PSCC last weekend.

What an exciting way to end the school term at Merlewood Primary. Mini-cricket players had a fantastic festival at Port Shepstone Country Club last Saturday.

They competed against other local schools, but the emphasis was on fun as an introduction to the game. The boys were over the moon to meet Hollywoodbets Dolphins Keshav Maharaj and Khaya Zondo.

The school looks forward to more of these interactive festivals and thanks all parents who supported the event.

Parents are reminded that registration for 2019 has commenced.
