The SPCA’s Port Shepstone charity shop has been open for approximately two years, and manager Mari Craucamp, is always on hand to offer friendly assistance.
The shop is located on the upper level of the Harbour View Spar complex which makes it easily accessible for those wanting to drop off donations as well as those wanting to browse for a bargain.

The SPCA now has four charity shops – in Port Shepstone, Uvongo, Shelly Beach and its newest, in Ramsgate – all of which help to raise much-needed funds to enable the society to continue housing and caring for animals in distress.
All donations, including books, clothes, board games, electrical items (in working order of course), kitchenware, linen, magazines, CDs and DVDs are most welcome.
“We would greatly appreciate any form of support, whether it is a donation in cash or in kind,” says Marlise Booyens, head of the Port Shepstone shop.
The shops also serve as a drop-off point for cat and dog food, blankets, toys or anything else that will benefit the animals housed at the SPCA.
“We really urge the public to support us. Without all of you, these shops would not be a success,” says Marlise.
The SPCA extends special thanks to Bendigo Electrical – www.bendigoelectrical.co.za; Margate radiologist Dr George Booyens, 039 317 1745 and Harbour View Spar – https://www.facebook.com/HarbourViewSuperSpar/ whose generous contributions made this article possible.
