Marsec elects interactive committee

Marburg Secondary proudly presents the 2018 Rotary Interact Club (from left) Sbonga Mkhize, Patience Ncayiyana, Kirthi Ramchander, vice-president Saalihah Chohan, president Maneti Dlezi, Yamkela Mfanekiso, Nontobeko Cebisa, Aphelele Mjweni, Avishka Bowla and Keisha Pillay.

Marburg Secondary School’s Rotary Interact Club recently elected its executive committee for 2018.

The aim of the club is to provide opportunities for young people to work together in service of their committee.

Each term the club hosts various fund-raising drives, with the objective of donating proceeds to organisations – based on identified needs.

The members of the club decide on a worthy recipient every six months.

Research is done on the organisation and the needs of the community are considered before funds are allocated.

Maneti Dlezi was elected president for 2018 and Saalihah Chohan as vice-president.
