Pennington man startles housebreaker in lounge

A Nanette Avenue, Pennington resident was recently awoken by a noise. When he went to investigate, he found an intruder in his lounge.

He shouted and ran towards the intruder, causing him to flee.

According to the Scottburgh SAPS, the burglar had  gained entry into the resident’s flat by forcing open a sliding door.

A computer monitor and wallet containing bank cards were missing.

Various other items  were recovered in the yard of an adjoining flat and further away outside the property.

A case of housebreaking and theft has been registered at Scottburgh SAPS.

Constable Brandon Raju of the Scottburgh SAPS is investigating.
