PSHS seniors take top awards

Sheppie seniors (from left) Rachel Venter, Julia Venter, Kiroshan Naidoo and Yogitha Baby walked away with well-deserved academic honours at last week's award ceremony.

Port Shepstone High held its senior awards ceremony last week. Pupils were recognised for hard work and dedication in achieving outstanding results for academics and extramural activities.

Rachel Venter, Julia Venter, Kiroshan Naidoo and Yogitha Baby were awarded academic honours for achieving an overall aggregate of 85 percent for their seven best subjects.

Dux of the school, Rachel Venter, was also awarded prizes for English home language, mathematical literacy and visual art.

Julia Venter was awarded prizes for Afrikaans first additional language, physical science, physics. as well as the Rochford Award for Application in the Sciences.

Kiroshan Naidoo was awarded prizes for accountancy, life orientation (shared with Natasha Ngubane) and chemistry. Yogitha Baby was awarded prizes for engineering graphics and design, life sciences, mathematics and chemistry.
