Vehicles stolen in Scottburgh while family sleeps

SCOTTBURGH South was hit by crime again last Friday morning, this time in Ann Arbour Road.

A sleeping family awoke to find that their house had been burgled.

“A window was forced open and burglar bars removed to gain entry into the residence,” said Scottburgh SAPS communications officer, Captain Vincent Pandarum.

The family discovered their two Mercedes Benz vehicles had been stolen.

Their house keys were found lying outside the house and vehicle keys were missing, indicating that the burglars had stolen the house keys before making off with the vehicles.

The case is being investigated by Detective Sergeant Grant Phehlukwayo of Port Shepstone Vehicle Crime Investigation Unit (VCIU).

At this stage, there have been no arrests.
