Islamic School hosts annual fun day

Wonderland School for Special Children pupils were treated to a wonderful ‘Annual Fun Day’ hosted by Port Shepstone Islamic School last week.

PORT Shepstone Islamic School under the guidance of Rabia Bux hosted its ‘Annual Fun Day’ for Wonderland School for Special Children, which is part of the school’s social outreach project. Gr 9 pupils created a carnival atmosphere with jumping castles, horse rides and a few farm animals.

Wonderland pupils thoroughly enjoyed the braai feast at lunch time and loved their beautiful goodie bags. PSIS pupils also presented an amazing reading scheme to enhance the learning programme at Wonderland. Special thanks are extended to all sponsors and well wishers for the continued success of this event.

Zaid Dindar (gr 3) and Maseeha Omar (gr 6) represented entered the Umbango Vally River Conservancy Spellathon and Zaid took top honours to win the gr 3 trophy.

The gr 11 Life Orientation project involved beautifying the school by painting games for smaller grades in the courtyard and ‘splash’ the garden with bright colour.

Some teachers attended the Edtech Innovation Summit at the Orient Islamic School last Saturday.
