GALATIANS chapter 6 vs 7-10

7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

THESE words, written by Paul to the church in Galatians, are both a bit scary, and also very encouraging.

vs 7: People mock God and the things of God. That’s not a great idea. The only reason we get away with it (for now) is because of God’s mercy and paitence.

But a time will come when we will each need to give a personal account to God for our words and behaviour.

vs 8: If you live to please the flesh (yourself) then that day will be truly terrifying. You will reap destruction. There’s no getting away from that.

However, if you have lived to please God, there’s no fear or condemnation at all. None. You will be welcomed in to eternal life with God.

vs 9: Life is hard. And tiring. Everyone is under some sort of pressure. And people are tired. Dog tired. BUT don’t stop being kind, and doing good.

God knows. He will reward in due season. It will be a harvest. It will be a great day for you. Unbelievable. Mind-blowing. Keep on keeping on.

vs 10: Make the most of the opportunities that come your way. Keep on doing good.
