Jai Hind enjoys a sweet gesture

MANABA KwikSpar head baker Petros Danca and bakery manager Francois Coetzee gave close to 100 grade R and grade 1 Jai Hind Primary pupils a demonstration on how to bake cupcakes last Friday.

The pupils were overwhelmed by the sweet gesture and after the demonstration each one received a loaf of bread, sandwiches and a goodie hamper. Principal Jeff Dundraj thanked Manaba KwikSpar for their generosity.

“Our pupils gained a greater insight into the operations at a bakery and now fully understand how basic ingredients can be turned into a cupcake or a loaf of bread.” he said.

Volleyball players who represented Ugu District gave an excellent account of themselves at the KZN Provincial Games in Durban last Saturday and Sunday.

Recent excursions to Crocworld in Scottsburgh (gr 2), Fiddlewood Farm in Margate (gr 1) and the butterfly dome and petting zoo at Mac Banana in Munster (gr R) were exhilarating experiences.
