Bullying is not tolerated at PSP

SAP constable Keith Naidoo, Warrant Officer Perumal Naidoo (back, left) and Ruwaida Khan (back, right) popped in to Port Shepstone Primary last week to address the school on bullying for Child Protection Week. Pupils (back) Sisanda Hlongwa, principal Sathananda Naidu, Olwethu Ngcobo, (front) Famous Gumede, Esethu Khwela, Thinusenathi Ncama, Amkelani Msimango and Tia Reddy valued the important advice.

OFFICERS from the South African Police Services addressed Port Shepstone Primary pupils during Child Protection Week last Thursday.

Specific emphasis was placed on the issue of bullying at school and pupils were encouraged to respect one another’s rights, as well as to report incidents of bullying to adults.

An open parents’ day was also held last Thursday and parents were happy to be afforded an opportunity to monitor their children’s progress.

Mid-year examinations for grades 4 to 7 commence tomorrow (Friday, 9th). Parents are urged to ensure that their children are adequately prepared for these exams as the marks will be required for promotion purposes at year-end.
