WHETHER you were exploring a new culture for the first time or are addicted to bhangra music, last week Friday was one night where you could get it all and dance the night away.

The Wild Coast Sun Hotel and Casino Resort hosted a bhangra evening at Chico’s Restaurant, featuring local deejay Theo Papli.

Welcoming guests are (from left) Anandh Perumal, June Hassein and Luthfiya and Ashley Rajam.

PR and promotions manager at Wild Coast Sun Hotel and Casino Resort, Sandi Burger, said that it’s not unusual to hear bhangra music emanating from Chico’s Restaurant.

On the dance floor are Harry Naidoo with his children Zach and Tyler.

“We did have a few bhangra sessions in the past and will continue to have more in the future. Our audiences are quite culturally segmented and we wanted to find an ongoing way for them to get to know each other and enjoy a wonderful night out. So that was the initial impetus behind this bhangra evening and it’s been really fun and, actually, super successful,” explained Sandi.
