Southcity player Daina makes the team

Southcity Christian School is extremely proud of Daina Pieterse, who has been selected for the KZN Coastals U18 hockey team.

SOUTHCITY’S first girls’ hockey team played brilliantly and beat Creston 3-0 last week. The U16 girls won 1-0 and the U14 team unfortunately lost 0-1 after dominating the entire game.

Preparatory pupils came to school kitted out in their slippers in support of the ‘Reach for a Dream’ fund-raising drive last Friday. Reach for a Dream is dedicated to making dreams come true for children suffering from life-threatening diseases and brings hope, encouragement, joy and laughter to difficult situations. The school commends pupils for the part they played to contribute towards this worthy cause.
