Zimasa in the Zone: 10 women killed by men – #Menaretrash

Zimasa Mgwili.

CAN men please stop hurling insults at women whilst trying to defend the MENARETRASH hashtag?

This hashtag is not just a statement, it’s a movement about women dying at the hands of their ‘loved ones’ on a daily basis.

The hashtag also confronts the silence surrounding issues of women abuse and women who killed and dumped like trash by  the men they trusted.

Karabo Moekena

The recent brutal killing of Karabo Moekena who was murdered, burnt and tossed in a veld by her boyfriend in Sandton sparked heated conversations over social media with women sharing their horrific experiences with men.

Karabo’s story reminded me of chilling story of Onele Mgwebi, a young trainee chef from a popular resort in the Mzamba area, who a few weeks ago was reportedly hammered to death allegedly by her boyfriend, who then stabbed her multiple times before hacking off some of her body parts.

Onele, like many other women, died at the hands of a ‘man’ she loved.

Hundreds of women have died in the name of love, often at the hands of men who can’t stomach rejection and resort to killing the helpless – when will it stop?

URGENT NOTICE TO ALL GUYS!!!STOP KILLING YOUR PARTNERS, If your dream of being with her for the rest of your life does…
