Entrance to the four-day event is free provided pre-registration for the #freefunseeker tickets is completed at www.quicket.co.za. Tickets to the #fuelyourfun Carling Main Beach Stage are also available at www.quicket.co.za at a cost of R130 per day or R200 for the cocktail bar day pass. For a VIP four-day pass the cost is R360. Children under 12 enter free.
Extreme action event rides into town
SOUTH Africa’s most daring extreme sports’ athletes are heading to the coastal town of Margate from 27th to 30th April where they will get the crowds fired up at this year’s South Coast Bike Fest #SCBF2017.
Experiential Energy Zone
Most of the biking action will be taking place at the Margate Fishing Pier. Top riders, bikers and skaters will #fuelyourfun with action-packed entertainment for the whole family.
ShredBetty team will be putting on an impressive biking demo on both Thursday, 27th April and Friday, 28th April with ‘learn to ride’ sessions later in the day, at the Margate Pier.
The two-wheeled action continues at #SCBF2017 on Sunday, 30th April. The Powasol team will be hosting the first round of the epic Powasol EnduroX Series. Big-name riders include Wade Young , Kyle Flanagan , Blake Gutzeit and Scott Bouverie.
Brought to #SCBF2017 by ExtremeSportShows.co.za – a first for Margate – is the Gravity Clash Action Sports’ Show. Big names, including freestyle motocross (FMX) champions, Nick de Wit and Brian Capper, will ramp motorcycles 10 metres in the air with riders missing each other by mere centimetres. Fans will also get the opportunity to ‘meet and greet’ these daredevils following their twice-daily acrobatic performance at the Experiential Energy Zone.
Top BMX riders and skateboarders will put on a breathtaking performance of big air tricks and manoeuvres off multiple ramps, all forming part of the Gravity Clash Action Sports’ event.
Also, taking place on Sunday, 30 April is the incredible Brian Capper XRX trials bike show. This is a 35-minute biking extravaganza demonstrates Capper’s amazing riding abilities and shows audiences exactly why he is the 10-times South African champion in multiple motorsports categories. This is a must-see show for the whole family.
The Dezzi Festival of Speed
Takes place at Dezzi South Coast Raceway, will also give audiences the chance to witness some high-speed biking performances by top-level riders.
Village Pier Rock Stage
The #freefunseeker pass provides access to watch South African musicians the Hairy Legged Lentil Eaters, Hinds Brothers, Circle of Stones and Phil Moffet, among others, will perform.
Carling Main Beach Stage
Invest in the #fuelyourfun tickets for another level of musical entertainment. South Africa’s biggest musical acts will rock out throughout the four-day festival. Acts include PJ Powers, Koos Kombuis, Jack Parow, Die Heuwels Fantasties, Gangs of Ballet, Jack Hammer Band, Fokofpolisiekar, Tender Mavundla, Rubber Duc, Matthew Mole, Just Jinjer, the Kickstands, Prime Circle and Freshly Ground, and more.
