Creston surfers to represent Ugu District

Creston College executive head Noel Coetzee congratulates gr 2 cross-country athlete Nabil Bejia for winning a gold medal at Beaver Creek Coffee Farm last week.

CONGRATULATIONS to Creston surfers Kira Attfield, Jesse Powell, Claire Haskins and Jenna Unsworth, who have been chosen to represent Ugu district at the SA Junior Surfing Championships in Jeffrey’s Bay from October 3 to 8.

Well done to all athletes who competed at the junior primary schools’ inter-athletics event last week. They did their best and flew the school flag high. Some pupils also took part in the cross-country event hosted at Beaver Creek Coffee Estate.

The school recently hosted the Hibiscus Eisteddfod and this year there was an art category. Entries were received from many schools – the works of art submitted were proof that the Lower South Coast boasts talented young artists.

The annual golf day was held at PSCC last Saturday and the school thanks all sponsors and supporters.

Gr 7 pupils are invited to write the 2018 gr 8 entrance tests on September 8 and 15. Exams start at 1.15pm. RSVP to Lynne Harley at 039 6855562.
