Restaurant of the Week: Highland Fryer

THE Highland Fryer in Shelly Beach is the place to unwind and celebrate good times and all things Scottish.

Attracting a mix of  both regulars and  tourists, the eatery offers tasty home-cooked meals as well as pub grub served by friendly staff.

Prepared with pride and using only the freshest ingredients, the portions are always generous and reasonably priced.

Patrons can enjoy a variety of dishes including flame-grilled, basted 200g rump steak, egg and chips, or the legendary British-style fish and chips.

Other dishes on offer are the hearty eisbein, pure beef burgers, aromatic curries, mouth-watering spare ribs and homemade pies baked in a ceramic dish.

Seafood lovers can choose from fish, prawns, calamari, mussel pots and seafood platters.

Open seven days a week: Monday to Saturday, from 10am to 9pm, and 10am to 5pm on Sundays.
