PORT Shepstone Senior Primary held a special function recently to acknowledge outgoing parent members of the School Governing Body (SGB).

Reneera Chetty, Ray Cele, Mondle Ngcobo and Vasie Manawer were presented with special certificates in appreciation of their loyal service to the school over the years.

Unfortunately outgoing chairman Gregory ‘GT’ Msomi was unable to attend due to ill health.

Steven Goldsmith, Nazlee Ameer, Yadhna Dwarikapersad and Mbali Kheswa were welcomed as new members of the SGB.

Pupils and teachers took part in a Cansa Shavathon fund-raiser last Friday. Pupils arrived at school dressed in civvies and happily donated R10 to have their hair colourfully sprayed.

The event was extremely well supported and an impressive total of R6 942 was collected.
