Port Shepstone High awarded international flag

The committee are (back from left) Hopewell Mkhize, wth Neha Rajee, Gina Coxen, Nqobile Gumede, Siphokuhle Zulu, Nokuthulu Siyanga, Shakira Coetzer, Esme Munsamy, Ashmi Lautan, Kathy Nel, and Peter Jenkins in the middle and Ninette Smith, Beth Rautenbach, Sue Rawlins and Tina Chetty in front.

PSHS has been involved in the Eco Schools Programme run by WESSA (Wildlife and Environmental Society of Southern Africa) since 2012.

Sheppie High was awarded its international flag recently.

The  school’s eco committee is actively involved in caring for the environment through initiatives such as developing a greenhouse, implementing and maintaining a roof garden, cleaning up littered areas and recycling.

Sheppie High first netball and girls’ hockey teams attended the Scottburgh sports festival recently.

The netball girls won two out of three matches, and the hockey girls won their first match, drew the second and narrowly lost the third match.

The festival was a great pre-season event which was enjoyed by all.
