Port Shepstone Islamic School explores healthy eating habits

Sensible advice: Dietician Natalie Quinn gave Port Shepstone Islamic School pupils a lot of insight into unhealthy eating habits last week.

ISLAMIC School invited dietician Natalie Quinn to address pupils on a healthy lifestyle and nutrition.

In view of the increase in type 2 diabetes, the consequences of comfort eating, indulging in fast foods and not following a balanced diet were discussed.

Pupils and teachers enjoyed the question and answer session. Thanks are extended to Ms Quinn, who has promised to address parents and junior pupils.

Three Astro soccer teams displayed their talents at the recent AMS tournament in Durban.

The U13 team progressed to the quarter-finals and came fifth out of 19 teams and the U15 team advanced to the semi-finals and placed fifth out of 16 teams.

Gr 8 player Mohammed Dindar, who has many supporters throughout KZN, was singled out for his exceptional talent.
