OPINION: ‘Will an accident spur some action?’

DEAR Editor,-

I have written about six emails begging Ray Nkonyeni Municipality to attend to the verges on Sugar Mill Road, which have not been cut for months and the bush is encroaching a metre into the road and stands two metres high!

It is just unbelievably dangerous and for some reason we are being ignored?

This is the main road into Port Shepstone off the freeway and the main route from Louisiana and many outlying rural areas. There is an incredible amount of traffic on this road and yet we are ignored by the municipality.

What do we have to do to get some attention for this road ?

There will be an accident if this bush is not cleared as a matter of extreme urgency.
