8 injured in Port Edward crash

IN the early hours of yesterday (Sunday) morning, Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a scene where two vehicles had collided on the R61 in Port Edward.

Paramedics found the roadway at Banners Rest littered with accident debris and the twisted frames of the vehicles.

After the injured were triaged it was found that eight people had sustained injuries, ranging from  minor to serious.

Medics stabilised the injured at the scene before transporting them to various hospitals.
